9/21/2006 - Impact Warren had gone just about according to plan, until now. Earlier this week, in light of a less than favorable report from a committee, Warren City Council nixed the purchase of the Clark St. building which would have become a conference center.

Clark County officials plan an autopsy today on the body of a 21/2-year-old Camas girl who apparently drowned Labor Day as a family get-together was ending.

Builder tied to housing scandal is jailed 
Oscar Rivero, the developer at the center of Miami’s sweeping affordable housing scandal, was arrested late Saturday on charges he spent at least $736,000 in public money meant for the poor to buy himself a South Miami house, plus appliances, pool, a termite inspection — even a $3,000 insurance policy.
