WISDOM Recently, 18 inches of new snow fell at Chief Joseph Pass, west of Wisdom, making for excellent cross-country skiing. There are now 36 inches of snow on the 24-kilometer ski trail system.

Pinckneyville Natural Gas Customers Will See 30 Percent Price Decrease 
PINCKNEYVILLE - Pinckneyville’s city council on Monday approved its $353,594 tax levy for the current fiscal year. Included in the ordinance passed by the council was an abatement totaling $155,000 from two water/sewer/operating bonds from 2002. Those bonds were issued in 1997.
