Pool heater likely source of problem
We have a 5-year-old pool with a saline chlorinating system. The pool is heated. In the past several months, a black coating has appeared on the bottom of the pool. The water was tested, which showed copper was present, but otherwise the water was OK. No one has been able to figure out why this has happened. We had someone look at the heater, and no problem was found. Any thoughts?
